Extend your chatbot with specialist AI agents for booking, email support, and WhatsApp messaging.
AI Agents Overview
ChatNexus includes specialist AI agents that extend your chatbot beyond simple Q&A. Each agent handles a specific domain — appointment booking, email support, or WhatsApp messaging — and integrates directly with your chatbot's conversation flow.

How Agents Work
Agents operate alongside your chatbot's main conversation. When a user's message matches an agent's domain (e.g., "I'd like to book an appointment"), the system automatically routes the conversation to the appropriate agent.
- Detection — The system analyzes each message for booking, support, or messaging intent
- Routing — When intent is detected, the specialist agent takes over the conversation
- Collection — The agent gathers required information conversationally (name, email, dates, etc.)
- Action — The agent completes the action (creates appointment, sends email, routes to WhatsApp)
- Return — Control returns to the main chatbot once the action is complete
Configuring Agents
Navigate to Agents in the left sidebar of your dashboard. Each agent has its own configuration tab:
- Enable/Disable — Toggle individual agents on or off
- Settings — Configure agent-specific options (business hours, services, email addresses)
- Integration — Connect external services (Google Calendar, email providers)
Tip:
Agents use the same LLM model configured in your chatbot's Settings → LLM panel. No separate API key is needed.
